| Small business confidence hit a post-pandemic high, according to the Q2 MetLife and U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business Index. By the numbers: 73% of small business owners anticipate an increase in revenue over the next year, while 46% plan to invest more, marking an uptick of 10 percentage points from the last survey. Be smart: Small business owners are optimistic about artificial intelligence(AI) and say it could save them time and money, the survey found.

Our take: “Main Street employers are showing confidence and resiliency in the face of persistent inflation,” said Chamber Vice President of Small Business Policy Tom Sullivan. “[Their] comfort with cash flow remains high and is a key reason why small business owners are bullish about their ability to meet customer demand and solve challenges facing their communities.” | |
