Colorado economic update

Despite the headwinds in the economy – inflation, COVID-19, labor shortages, supply chain disruptions, Colorado posted a gain of 10,600 jobs in October.

Colorado seasonally adjusted employment increased by 129,600 through the first ten months of 2021. The current employment level is about 62,700 below February 2020. The state’s total employment will return to its pre-pandemic level in Q2 or Q3 of 2022. Sectors such as leisure and hospitality, administrative services, and local government will take longer.
