Wireless Telecommunications Services
AT&T and Verizon both provide comprehensive local wireless voice and data services. Active Communications is the largest AT&T Authorized Retailer in the region, while Russell Cellular serves local Verizon wireless needs from its store in Avon. Customers with Sprint, T-Mobile or other cellphone service providers will generally find good coverage throughout eastern Eagle County but may find it lacking towards the western side of the county. That said, all carriers continue to make network upgrades on an ongoing basis.

Electricity and Natural Gas Services

Holy Cross Energy, formed in 1939, is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric cooperative utility providing electricity, energy products and related services to 55,000 consumers in western Colorado including the majority of communities in Eagle County. Interstate 70 – Access to a key transportation corridor
Interstate 70 traverses the length of Eagle County providing reliable transport throughout the Vail Valley’s core trade area and efficient access to the Front Range metro area to the east and Grand Junction to the west. In the winter months it’s always prudent to plan ahead for weather events to ensure safe and efficient travel.

Air Service
Eagle County Regional Airport is located in Gypsum, 35 minutes west of Vail. EGE offers all of the amenities that a big airport can, but in a much more personable setting. Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, using private aircraft or scheduled commercial flights, EGE offers the best in convenience, security and customer service. In the winter, American, Delta, United, and Air Canada provide non-stop jet service between EGE and eleven major U.S. cities as well as an international route to Toronto. In the summer, American and United Airlines connect Eagle County Airport with their hubs in Dallas/Ft.Worth, Denver, and Houston and hundreds of domestic and international cities.  Multiple ground transportation and car rental companies offer travelers easy transport to their ultimate destinations.

Vail Valley Jet Center is the sole Fixed-base Operator (FBO) operating at the Eagle County Regional Airport. VVJC offers a complete line of services to visiting and based private aircraft, including customs services for private aircraft. The Jet Center is committed to providing the highest, most efficient level of service possible and was given the title of “The Ritz-Carlton of FBOs” by Aviation and Business Journal. The Jet Center has also been ranked as a top FBO by Pro Pilot and Aviation International News industry surveys for the past 10 years.

Local Transportation
Local employees and business visitors have a number of choices for easy transit within the Vail Valley. Options include the ECOTransit and Town of Vail bus systems, a variety of shuttle and taxi services and numerous bike paths traversing amongst and between the core areas of most communities. The Eagle Valley Paved Bike Path runs from Vail to Edwards and picks up again in Wolcott to Gypsum.

Town of Vail provides free year-round bus service throughout Vail. Buses run regularly between the eastern end of Vail Village and the western end of Lionshead. Scheduled buses to East Vail and West Vail run on a regular basis as well. Vail’s NextBus system provides real-time bus arrival information from any stop on Vail system. 970-479-2358.

Town of Vail also has a new electric bike share program. 

Town of Avon’s transit system consists of two in-town shuttles, a skier shuttle for access to Beaver Creek Resort, and an evening restaurant shuttle which connects the Town of Avon and Beaver Creek Resort. Avon Station serves as a regional transit hub providing access to ECO Transit services which operate throughout the Vail Valley and into Lake County.
